New Resident Member Bios: Section 14.3

Frank Avery [6B01]
329 C St SE, Apt. 3
Resident of 6B01 since 2019 and Ward 6 since 2018.

With the abundance of schools, parks, and businesses in 6B01, I’m interested in:

  • Keeping our streets safe for pedestrians and non-vehicle transportation, especially with our abundance of schools and parks in 6B01
  • Improving vehicle flow through our business district along Penn Ave to increase safe access while supporting their success and growth, and
  • Exploring how 6B can build on its track-record of launching unique multimodal pilot programs (ex. specialized delivery zones, piloting the ParkDC system early) to get ahead of safe, equitable access to EV charging

If anyone has any questions about those areas, happy to discuss more of hear from you all on other focus areas. Of course, my first focus would be to listen and learn from you all.

George Holman [6B04]
“By way of background, I’ve lived on Capitol Hill since 2007.  I spent 10 years at 4th and Constitution NE before moving to our neighborhood in Southeast Capitol Hill in 2017.  I’m proud to call this neighborhood home and I want to be a part of making it even better while preserving our quality of life.  I’m raising a toddler son who will start Pre-K next year and I work for a non-profit here in DC after a decade of working on Capitol Hill.  I also serve on the Community Advisory Board for the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.”
