AGENDA

1. Introductions
2. Review and Comment on Draft Statement of Purpose
   • DRAFT Statement of Purpose
     • Promote community engagement and offer greater transparency and agency to community members regarding public safety.
     • Develop and implement strategies to identify the scope and drivers of crime in the community and to improve public safety.
     • Amplify recommendations from, and center the experience of, those most directly impacted by crime, with a particular focus on those without major public platforms.
     • Identify pathways of communication between the community and law enforcement, mental health, and civic authorities, to include MPD, the U.S. Attorney’s Office, D.C.’s Office of the Attorney General, the Mayor’s Office, the D.C. Council, the Courts and the District’s mental health resources, to increase authoritative action to respond to community concerns, prevent crime, and preserve public safety in 6B.
     • Identify and raise public safety issues to ANC 6B and draft resolutions for their consideration.
3. Open Discussion of Committee Priorities and Set Meeting Schedule for the Year
4. Identify Topics of Interest and Potential Expert/Guest Speakers
5. Identify Agenda Items for Next Meeting
